Vectis Equine Vets is the longest standing, dedicated, equine veterinary practice based on the Isle of Wight, caring for the requirements of horses, donkeys and ponies across the island, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
The ambulatory side of the practice covers the whole of the Isle of Wight with two full time vets, Kate and Leire, living and working on the island. Our clinic is centrally based in Newport and offers a range of facilities for more complicated diagnostic work up or standing surgery.
We provide a quality, first opinion service and are also happy to offer second opinions.Visits can be booked by appointment Monday to Friday. Appointments will be given as morning or afternoon and we will then call you on the day to let you know when the vet is on their way to you. This enables us to spend as long as required at each visit and prevents our vets from having to rush one call just to be on time for the next one. To make this easier you can specify at the time of booking how much notice you need to be ready for the vet’s arrival.First calls between 8.15am and 9am or last calls between 4.30pm and 5.30pm can also be booked.
